FireTV Setup for TV Signage

On the FireTV:

1. Install Downloader App and set to allow install from unknown sources.

3. Using the Download App, Load the 'Launch on Boot' app. Put 955246 into the download url and hit enter.  Click Install.  Then click Done. Then click Delete.

4. Using the Download App, Load the 'Fully Kiosk App'. Put 238911 into the download url and hit enter.  Click Install.  Then click Done. Then click Delete.

5. In the Fully Kiosk App, set it up so that the browser points to your club's unique URL for the TV display.

In the settings of Fully Kiosk App.  Go to Web View.   Change "View in Desktop Mode" to YES.   

6. Using the Launch On Boot app, configure your FireTV to automatically launch the Fully Kiosk App.   Do not turn on the bottom two options, only the top one. Then click the box to select the Fully Kiosk App.

You may need to disable your screensaver on the FireTV:

How to Turn Off the Amazon Fire Stick Screensaver

1. Select the Settings option at the top of the screen.
2. Choose the Display option.
3. Select the Screensaver option.
4. Scroll down and choose Start Time.
5. Select the Never option.

If your FireTV still goes blank/black screen, you will need to do something a little more technical to solve:

Steps from a customer with a LG SmartTV:

We have LG TVs that come with a built in (primitive) web browser. We shut off all of the power-saving options in the TV.

We then browsed to the presentation URL (and added it as a bookmark).

Worked perfect.

Power off / power on instructions are very simple as well:

Power on the TV

Hit the Home button on the remote

Hit the Right-Arrow button until you get to the browser

Hit the Up-Arrow button (focus goes to the first bookmark automatically)

Hit the Enter button

Voila... restart in 5 seconds. 🙂
